30Here at Cat Specialist, we truly believe in the importance of preventative care to keep your cats healthy. We believe that vaccines are necessary for good health.

Vaccines are necessary to protect our cats from potentially harmful (and sometimes deadly) diseases. They are made to keep our cats healthy and disease free.

There are many different vaccinations so it is important to discuss your location and your cat’s lifestyle with our staff and your veterinarian. Not every cat needs to be vaccinated against every disease. There are core vaccines include Rabies and FVRCP – the respiratory vaccine. We use either an intra-nasal FVRCP vaccine or an injectable FVRCP and the doctor can discuss these options with you. These should be given to every cat, no matter where they live. Cats that go outdoors unsupervised and could have contact with outdoor cats should receive the FeLV (Feline Leukemia) vaccine). The American Association of Feline Practitioners vaccine guidelines recommends that all kittens receive the FeLV vaccine as well.

Our goal is to keep your cats as healthy as possible. We believe that vaccinating your cats is one of the best ways to do this. When you bring your cat in for vaccinations, we give them an examination to make sure that your cat is doing well and not having any problems. If you have any concerns about your cat’s health, we can discuss them at your visit.

If you have any questions or are curious about the different vaccines that we offer, feel free to contact us today at 303-663-2287.
