Dr. Danielle Maybank
Dr. Maybank was born and raised in the Catskill Mountain region of Upstate New York. She is a graduate of Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in southern California. In addition to her DVM degree , she also has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ithaca College. She discovered her passion for feline medicine while working at an animal shelter and watched respiratory disease spread rapidly through the cats in the shelter. In her time there, she advocated for the feline population and created ways to decrease the spread of disease among the shelter cats.
Before starting veterinary school, Dr. Maybank worked for three years as a veterinary assistant at a hospital in Syracuse, NY and then for two years as a veterinary technician at a small animal practice in So. Burlington, Vermont. She has also continued to volunteer at spay and neuter clinics and with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) programs for feral and homeless cats. While in veterinary school, Dr. Maybank was on the board of the student chapter of The American Association for Feline Practitioners.
In her spare time, Dr. Maybank enjoys running, dancing, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her sassy calico cat, Lexie. Dr. Maybank is a great addition to the team at Cat Specialist! She looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the health and lives of cats and for the humans that love them.
